ABOUT JESICA
Jesica is an experienced strategic communications professional working with government agencies, non-profits and public sector companies. She attended the University of South Carolina where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communications and a Masters of Public Administration.
She started her professional career in Columbia working with Palmetto Parent magazine and the SC Governor’s School of Science and Mathematics Foundation, then moved to the LowCountry to lead the communication and economic development efforts for the City of Goose Creek. Her combined policy and communications experience led her to a global engineering firm as a communication consultant advising public and private sector clients in North and South Carolina on communications strategies for large, complex infrastructure projects. Jesica moved back to Columbia in 2016, and currently serves as a Senior Project Advisor with NP Strategy.
Jesica is passionate about giving back and volunteering in her community and currently serves on the boards of the United Way of the Midlands and Women in Transportation Seminar (WTS) – South Carolina Chapter. Previous volunteer and board service include: Emerge South Carolina, Mental Illness Recovery Center, Inc., Berkeley Chamber of Commerce, Berkeley County First Steps, Carolina Youth Development Center and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Columbia.
Jesica is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., a graduate of the South Carolina Economic Development Institute, Leadership Columbia and has been honored by Columbia Business Monthly as a Best and Brightest 35 and Under.
She and her husband Joseph, a South Carolina State University graduate, have been married for eight years. They have two children, Olivia (age 6) and William (age 3).
